A bit about me....
I graduated from Pierre High School in 1984 and attended Black Hills State College in Spearfish, South Dakota. After graduation, my husband and resided in Pierre. I taught high school science in Onida, South Dakota for three years before having our first child, Katelynn. In 1992, I took a position teaching and coaching within the Pierre School District at the junior high level. During the years of 1995-2000 I taught at Watertown High School and coached middle school track and field. We also added two more children to the Gordon household, Carter and Allison.
We have lived in Brookings for the last twelve years and thoroughly love it. Our children have flourished in the Brookings School District so far. I stayed home with my growing family for four years before re-entering the teaching field in 2004. My husband has since switched positions from Daktronics, Inc. working in International Sales to the CEO of Superior Homes, LLC in Watertown. He commutes every day, but is home quite a bit more than when working with Daktronics. We hope to spend several more years teaching and watching our children grow up in Brookings, South Dakota.
I have taught science for nineteen years, now. I have a major in Biology and a minor degree in Physical Education.
